After a brief hiatus, Editions / Artists' Books `01 is back by popular demand, bigger and better than ever. Entering its fourth year, the fair is unparalleled as a showcase for contemporary publishers and book dealers exhibiting the latest in prints, multiples and artists' books. Museum curators and collectors continue to praise the fair as a pivotal event within the publishing and contemporary art community.

Organized by Susan Inglett of I.C. Editions, Michele Quinn of Brooke Alexander Editions and David Platzker of Printed Matter, Editions / Artists' Books will take place at two locations: Brooke Alexander Editions at 59 Wooster Street and Deitch Projects at 76 Grand Street. The preview on Thursday, November 1, 5-9 pm, is being organized as a benefit for Printed Matter, Inc. an independent not-for-profit organization founded to heighten the visibility of artists' publications and is the world's largest distributor of artists' books, magazines, audio and video works. The Fair is also a part of a citywide "Print Week", organized by the International Fine Print Dealers Association, to promote the medium of prints through exhibitions and symposia held throughout the week.

Seventeen publishers of fine art prints and multiples will feature some of the best examples of contemporary prints and multiples. Participants, both domestic and international, have been invited with consideration to the variety and strength of their publishing activities and include the well established and newly established.
