Brooke Alexander has worked with Richard Artschwager since 1969, starting with the publication of the edition Locations. In the beginning of 1991, Brooke Alexander opened a survey exhibition of the multiples of Richard Artschwager (January 25 - March 9, 1991).

To coincide with the exhibition, a catalog raisonne of the multiples was published by the gallery. Running through the catalog is the transcript of a conversation between Brooke Alexander and Richard Artschwager, in which they discuss the methods of inspiration and creation behind these works.
